I can't believe it is already December! I don't know about you, but I get really excited about hunting for the perfect gift for my friends and family members. Today I have compiled a list of my top ten picks to help you find the perfect gift for your loved ones. My recommendations cover everything from cute tees to cooking essentials to must-have beauty products and more! All of these items will make the perfect holiday gift or a great treat for yourself!
Rosehip Oil- $13
You’ve probably seen me mention rosehip oil in some of my previous blog posts. This is hands down my favorite skin care product, and it is great for both women and men! It is full of vitamins A, C, and E, which help hydrate your skin, promote elasticity, and protect the skin from free radical damage. Ladies, you can also use it to remove eye makeup! I apply rosehip oil to my skin every night before going to bed and any time my skin feels dry (like when I’m on an airplane).
This bag is absolutely perfect for a trip to the farmer's market or the beach! It is one of my favorite purchases I made this year, and it is such great quality that I know I will be carrying it for years to come!
If you haven't figured it out yet, I am kind of obsessed with kale. My parents got me this t-shirt a few years ago, and I love it (I even have a KALE sweatshirt by Suburban Riot)! This super cute tee makes the perfect gift for all my fellow Kale Enthusiasts out there! Suburban Riot also makes a variety of other food-themed tees, so make sure to check them all out! I think I have about five of them!
This 2-in-1 mask is hands down my favorite recent skin care discovery! I have been obsessed with this brand for a while, but as a poor college student, I am only able treat myself to these products on occasion. This product, however, I keep on hand without fail! I decided to try this product when it first came out because I know just how powerful of an anti-inflammatory compound turmeric is, and I was not disappointed! I use this product every other day without exception, and will often leave it on for about 30 minutes while I make breakfast so that the papaya enzymes can do their work! This is definitely a must-have product!!
RMS Beauty is my other favorite beauty brand, and this is my favorite product of theirs that I have tried. I love this brand because all of their products are made from natural ingredients, and many of the products, including this Lip2Cheek, are coconut oil based. This ensures that these product will help nourish and moisturize your skin while you are wearing them. One pot of this 2-in-1 lipstick and blush lasts me almost a year even though I wear it every single day! I gave this Lip2Cheek to one of my friends for her birthday, and she obsessed with it too!
Vitamix - $220 - $650
This is definitely on my Christmas wish list! My parents have a Vitamix, and every time I go home I am always so excited to use it (yes... I am a nerd)! These blenders are able to puree things better than any other blender I have tried! They can even make non-cream-based soups taste creamy! I don't know how, but everything tastes better when blended in a Vitamix! This is the perfect gift for someone you want to splurge a bit on this holiday season.
I have learned a lot about intuitive eating in my nutrition classes at UT, and I really believe that it is they key to creating a healthy relationship with food and your body. Every single one of my professors highly recommends this book, and it is on my reading list for this winter!
Diffuser and Essential Oils- Prices Vary Widely
I am a big believer in the power of aromatherapy, and diffusers are a super simple way to spread the essential oils throughout your home. There are so many different styles of diffusers and prices vary widely for all of them, but I personally love this one from Whole Foods.
Himalayan Salt Lamp- $40
I recently learned about the health benefits of Himalayan salt when I was researching the effects of halotherapy, and I was blown away! These salt lamps are a great way to get the benefits of Himalayan salt without having to go to a halotherapy clinic. To read my post about halotherapy, click here.
Dry Body Brush- $17
I was a little doubtful when I first heard about the benefits of dry body brushing, but the science is there to back it up! After I tried it for a little while, I became a believer. Dry body brushing is great for exfoliating, enhancing blood flow to the skin, and promoting lymphatic circulation which helps cleanse the body of toxins. When body brushing, always start with your feet and work upwards in small, soft strokes always moving towards your heart. I like to do this just before hopping in the shower for the full benefits. This is especially helpful in the winter when pretty much everyone has dry skin!
I hope this list helps you with your gift giving! Happy Shopping! Merry Christmas and happy holidays!!!!
